Deep-Dive Game Guides
Expand any section below for a closer look at how each game type works at pg178 — including practical tips written for Filipino players.
Slots at pg178 are the easiest entry point for new players. You select a bet amount per spin (starting as low as ₱1 on many titles), hit spin, and the RNG determines where the reels land. Winning combinations are formed by matching symbols across paylines — modern video slots use "ways to win" systems with up to 117,649 combinations per spin.
Key things to check before playing any slot:
- RTP (Return to Player): Always look for 95%+. PG Soft titles often sit at 96.7% or higher.
- Volatility: High volatility = rare but big wins. Low volatility = frequent small wins. Pick based on your bankroll and risk tolerance.
- Bonus Features: Free spins, multipliers, and jackpot rounds drive most big wins. Prioritize games with retrigger-capable free spins.
- Maximum Win Cap: Most slots cap the maximum win at 5,000x to 20,000x your stake. A ₱10 spin could theoretically return ₱50,000 to ₱200,000 on a max-win hit.
Baccarat is genuinely the most-played live casino game among Filipino players — and for good reason. The rules are simple: bet on Player, Banker, or Tie before cards are dealt. The hand closest to 9 wins. That's essentially it.
At pg178, the live baccarat lobby features squeeze baccarat (the traditional card-reveal experience loved in Manila's VIP rooms), speed baccarat for faster-paced sessions, and multi-camera tables. Bet limits range from ₱50 on standard tables up to ₱500,000+ on dedicated VIP tables.
Quick strategy note: Statistically, the Banker bet wins slightly more often than the Player bet. The Tie bet has a house edge of ~14.4% — avoid it unless you're feeling very lucky. Most experienced Filipino baccarat players stick exclusively to Banker bets.
pg178's sportsbook covers over 30 sports markets with pre-match and live in-play betting. For Filipino users, the most popular markets are: PBA Philippine Cup (local basketball), NBA (huge following in Metro Manila, Cebu, Davao), Premier League football, and UFC/boxing.
Odds are displayed in decimal format by default (e.g., 1.85 means ₱85 profit on a ₱100 stake). You can also switch to fractional or American odds in your account settings.
Available bet types: Asian Handicap, Over/Under Totals, 1X2 (full-time result), Both Teams to Score, First Half Result, Player Props, and Parlay/Combination bets. In-play markets update in real time as the game progresses.
Sabong (cockfighting) is deeply embedded in Philippine culture — it's been a legal spectator sport and betting activity in the country for centuries. pg178 brings this tradition online with live-streamed bouts from accredited arenas nationwide.
Before each match, you choose between Meron (the favored side, traditionally on the right), Wala (the underdog, on the left), or Draw. Bets are placed before the fight begins, and winnings are credited immediately after the result is confirmed.
Important: Sabong betting at pg178 is only available to verified accounts aged 21 and above. All bouts are from licensed arenas operating under applicable Philippine regulations.
